Kho Phangan, Thailand

We decided to hire a guide and boat to take us to secluded beach called Had Yang. What a lovely day with our ladies!

Our wonderful guide for the day built us a shelter from the sun out of palm leaves and bamboo. He then scaled palm trees for fresh coconuts to feed us, and kept us smiling all day long.

Hooray for sunshine!

Here is a view from the porch of our rented bungalow. Although it wan't right on the water, the view was still impressive.

Taxi boats call it a day as the sun starts to touch down on this lively island.

Pai, Nothern Thailand

The beautiful, sleepy town of Pai is a nice place to kick back with a good book, and a comfy hammock and let the hours and days pass by without a care in the world. We spent about 10 days here and had a great time touring in and around Pai on a rented scooter/moped. What a nice time it was.

Take it from Kim, fashion takes a back seat to safety when crusing along the dirt roads of Pai on a mean automatic scooter.

Imagine these roads during rush hour!

Peaceful hillstation town on a lazy afternoon.

Chiang Mai, northern Thailand

The City of Chiang Mai, situated about 13 hours north west of Bangkok, is built along a canal, which runs straight through the middle of the main city road. The city itself doesn't have all that much to offer, yet people tend to get engulfed in the warm and soothing way of life in Thailands most urban northern city.

Every wednesday night, Chiang Mai opens its door to street vendors from far and wide to sell their goods. Some items are hand made while others are a dime dozen.

MMMMMMM.....A treat for the eyes and the stomach. We weren't brave enough to try these delicious looking cocharoaches but we did tickle our taste buds with grasshoppers.

Ah...the Khao San Road. This is the palce where dreams are made and anything you could ever want, need, or crave is within arms reach. The street never sleeps, and there is always something to do, people to meet and expeiences to be had.

Dinner is served! Instead of eating in fancy restaurants, one can wander the streets for some good eats around the Khao San Road in bustling Bangkok.
